JOSLIN'S FUND

IN MEMORY OF JOSLIN BRONNENBERG

On April 28, 2024, the animal rescue community mourned the loss of a dedicated advocate and champion for the voiceless, Joslin Bronnenberg.

Joslin was passionate about establishing and sustaining a medical fund for The Animal Protection League. Her vision was to provide vital spay and neuter services to help alleviate pet overpopulation and to ensure immediate veterinary care for animals facing urgent medical needs. This commitment reflects the compassionate spirit Joslin embodied as a foster caregiver—always a voice for the vulnerable and a refuge for animals during their recovery.

We invite you to honor Joslin’s legacy by contributing to Joslin’s Fund. Your support will directly help animals who arrive at The Animal Protection League with life-threatening injuries or illnesses, ensuring they receive the critical care they need through our trusted veterinary partners.

Among Joslin’s many foster successes are Pam and Gilbert—two animals who arrived at The Animal Protection League with severe injuries requiring life-saving surgeries and leg amputations. Thanks to Joslin’s love and dedication, both are now thriving in their forever homes. Cases like theirs are exactly what Joslin’s Fund will continue to support, keeping Joslin’s vision and compassion alive.

To join us in realizing Joslin’s dream, please consider making a donation. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. All donations are TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.

Together, we can continue Joslin’s work and provide hope to animals in need—keeping her memory alive through acts of compassion and kindness.

Joslin Bronnenberg was born in Anderson, Indiana, on September 5, 1994, and lost her battle with mental health on April 28th 2024.

Joslin loved animals and standing up for animal rights. She always took in the ones who she knew needed her; the ones that needed the love she could provide to them. She was very picky on where her fosters went, so if you adopted one of her fosters, you passed her high expectations. Animals were her passion. She wanted to end backyard breeding and animal cruelty. Could she be abrasive, yes, but she did it all with a big heart and I was/am extremely proud of her and all of her efforts.

Joslin was feisty, independent, and had a huge heart. She loved to travel and see new places. She was always up for a road trip. She enjoyed walks/hiking, especially with her dogs. Joslin loved fiercely which sometimes left her heartbroken. She didn’t always feel like she was good enough, a battle she constantly fought.

She is survived by her loving mother, Gina; grandpa, Doug, and many great-aunts, uncles, cousins and her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, grandparents, and a special aunt.

This is something no parent should have to do, type their child’s obituary. If you are struggling with mental health issues, please please reach out for help. I understand that sometimes the pain is just too much to continue, but please reach out for help. Rest easy my precious girl and always remember how much I loved you. You were my sunshine. I love you to the moon and so much more.
